LAHORE Punjab Food Authority has launched a special operation to provide quality food to the passengers on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab. All the bus bases, terminals, railway stations, and 26 food points in Lahore have been checked for poor arrangements. Fines were issued on the 9th while corrective notices were issued on the 17th. Informing the details, the spokesman of the Food Authority said that on the instructions of the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, the Punjab Food Authority started a special operation to provide quality food to the passengers. 26 food points including bus depots, terminals, and railway stations were checked and fined on 9 while rectification notices were issued on 17. Fines were imposed. Akbar Shehzad Cold Corner, Haji Hotel, Hafiz Cold Corner and Jholelal Pan Shop were fined for poor maintenance. Additionally, fines were imposed for poor sanitation and the presence of expired drinks. It was further said that rectification notices were also issued to 17 food points for further improvement in the arrangements. On the three days of Eid, special teams will continue checking the food points at the bases. There will be no compromise. Strict action will be taken on the presence of non-standard items.
