Punjab Election: Chiefs of Intelligence Agencies meet Chief Justice in Chamber

The meeting held yesterday lasted for more than 3 hours in the chamber of the Chief Justice, in which the security situation of the country was informed, sources said.

The heads of intelligence agencies met with the Chief Justice and other judges on the issue of providing security for the May 14 elections in Punjab.
According to the sources, the DG of Military Operations and the Defense Secretary were also present in the meeting between the Chief Justice of Pakistan and other judges and heads of intelligence agencies. Justice Ejazul Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar were also present in the chamber of the Chief Justice, and in this meeting they were informed about the security situation in the country. It should be clear that the Supreme Court has ordered the Election Commission to submit a report on the provision of security for the elections in Punjab. A 3-member bench under the chairmanship of Punjab has ordered provincial elections on May 14 and the court also ordered the State Bank to release funds directly to the Election Commission.
