The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said that the staff level agreement with Pakistan will be signed soon. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar participated in the meetings of the IMF and the World Bank on video link.  According to the IMF team led by the Director Middle East and Central Asia, the meeting discussed the progress in the ongoing program of the IMF, besides the visit of the IMF mission to Pakistan and the implementation of the previous initiatives.  The discussion was held. The Finance Minister said that the Prime Minister instructed him to stay in Pakistan due to important domestic engagements. On the instructions of the Prime Minister, he had to cancel his visit to Washington to attend the IMF meeting.  Informed about the challenges and the vision of the government to bring macroeconomic stability in the country. According to the Ministry of Finance, the Finance Minister informed about the completion of all the preliminary steps for the 9th review and said that he is determined to fulfill all the obligations agreed with the IMF.  According to Director IMF, the staff level agreement will be signed soon after which the board will approve it. He said that it is hoped that Pakistan will continue to make progress on reforms in various sectors and the IMF program will be completed on time.  He said that IMF will play its positive role in bringing economic stability in Pakistan.  ****
